Why are the christians in the politics section full of piety, pride, hatefulness, and self righteousness?

bashing gays, bashing muslims, bashing atheists, denying evolution. is it all to do with the fact that mammals have an inherit instinct to believe what they've been taught is gospel, especially that by which is taught by their parents? The only reason I see that anyone would deny evolution is because they don't look at all the facts because they don't want to be 'just an animal' when they don't even realize animals share so much with us. they play, they're curious about the world around them, they care for one another. people say animals are less than humans, but would you really expect a species with a less developed cerebral cortex to care about human morals at all? don't you see animals have their own morals, separate from human standards?
