Im irish but i get so tan im almost black!?

I get so tanned even though im irish. im also scottish but i dont think they get tanned either. eveyone says that at the end of summer i will be a hershys bar! My best friends cousin is 100% russian (adopted) Abd doesnt get tannned, do they get tanned. She tried to tan like me and is now a lobster. so plz help.
