Do skunks make good pets?

I have researched domestic skunks so far and it seems to interest me the most. My partner and I are looking into it, we thought it'd be different and are willing to committ completely, but i'd like to hear word of mouth rather than internet findings really. And I already know the legality of having a pet skunk in my community, although it is technically illegal, some vets in my area will remove the "stinker" and I know tons of people who have had pet skunks and even told the local authority, apparently it's not a problem for them and that they have more serious things to handle then tracking down pet skunks, lol. So what do you think, do skunks make good pets?
