To people who oppose gay marriage because of religion...?

First of all, all the things you read in the New Testament were lessons...not laws. Secondly, you can't truly understand the Bible until you are a follower of Christ. You can go back and forth with your science and fact as much as you would like but its not going to release its true meaning. All the laws you stated in the Old Testament no longer apply because Jesus came to earth and became the new path to salvation. I'm sure you already knew that though. And I'll say it a second time, the things in the New Testament are lessons and helpful suggestions... Its good that you are studying the Bible, but until you at least accept the possibility that it is God's word then you will be blind to its meaning. And to kind of answer you question on Gay Marriage, just because their are other sins many of us ignore doesn't make them any worse or not as bad. A sin is a sin, people just choose to focus on gay marriage because they are starting to see it every day forced into our lives. Ask the same people who oppose gay marriage about all the ual things they see shoved into their eyes on T.V. and they will oppose that just about as much as gay marriage.
