Mustang engine/transmission life expectancy?

I had a 92 mustang v6 with 240,000 miles on it. My brother has a 98 v8 mustang with 189,000 miles. Still races it and its been holding up really good. As long as the oil is kept changed mustangs will outlast any car on the road.
